Carlos Gonzalez
Hello — I'm Carlos Gonzalez, a fifth-year PhD student in Economics (third year DPhil) at the University of Oxford. I am currently visiting Pompeu Fabra University (January–March, 2026) and Harvard University (March–June, 2026).
My work focuses on adaptive experimental design with applications to public policy and microeconomic theory. To do so, I combine tools from Machine Learning, Probability Theory, Economics and Statistics.
I completed my MPhil in Economics with Distinction at the University of Oxford and I hold a double major in Economics and International Studies from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. I have been a visiting student at UC Berkeley and Bocconi University; a Research Assistant for CEMFI and the Bank of Spain; a Research Analyst for Compass Lexecon; a Research Economist for Amazon and a Teaching Assistant for the University of Oxford and the University of Chicago.
