Carlos Gonzalez

Hello — I'm Carlos Gonzalez, a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford. I will be in the academic Job Market 2026/2027.

I work on adaptive experimental design and econometrics with applications to public policy and microeconomic theory, supervised by Prof. Max Kasy. In my research I combine tools from Machine Learning, Probability Theory, Economics and Statistics.

I completed my MPhil in Economics with Distinction at Oxford and I hold a double major in Economics and International Studies from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. I have been a visiting student at Harvard, Pompeu Fabra, UC Berkeley and Bocconi; a Research Economist for Amazon; a Research Assistant at CEMFI and the Bank of Spain; a Research Analyst for Compass Lexecon; and a Teaching Assistant for the University of Oxford and the University of Chicago.
